WHO IS RAW WARES?

Hi, my name is Rich and I am the person behind Raw Wares. I founded the company in 2020 after making ceramics on and off for a number of years in studios in Bath, London and Bristol. I am an Architect by training and this inspires and influences my work in many ways, leading to work that is characterised by clean lines, tactile surfaces and inherent colouring and patterns.
I value design that can be incorporated into our daily life. I believe what we use in our home should make us feel good and be kept for years to come. Well-designed products are not only more sustainable but provide a better quality of life.
I also occasionally create drawings and prints, inspired by the natural world at all scales. Sometimes these are created meditatively with ink, sometimes using lino printing to create unique works.

WHERE CAN I BE FOUND?

After moving from London to Bristol in 2021 and a stint at Clay Shed, I co-founded Liberty Lane Workshop - a shared pottery studio - at Estate of the Arts, Bedminster. All of my work is made here and, along with 5 other potters, we offer classes, workshops and kiln firings.
